Aguillard_10_5_by_8.jpg
Aguillard_10_5_by_8.jpgPutting it off just makes it worse87 viewspencil and ink on paper, originally inspired by a show titled You Are What You Eat. This drawing has elements of self destruction, pressure to conform and a sad view of eventuality. I also thought it was funny in it's weird way. 10.5 inches x 8 inches.
Aguillard_Eat_the_Rich_7.jpg
Aguillard_Eat_the_Rich_7.jpgEat the Rich84 viewsAnother inspired work from the show You Are What You Eat, this homage to Jonathan Swifts satire regarding eating the poor (Irish Children) I've turned to eating the rich. What more need be said?
Pencil and ink on paper.

another_thing_I_don_t_like_about_smoking_email_PS.jpgAnother thing I don't like about Smoking466 viewsThe third drawing inspired by the You Are What You Eat show, and an artist friend who's been painting a lot of pastries lately, this drawing full of delicious sweets has a cigarette snuffed out on the edge of the plate. The combination of this sad and disgusting habit, along with the treats is commentary on disrespect for what one has in the midst of plenty. Original drawing:ask if available

Bobbi_smooch_drawing.jpgThe Sweet Smooch77 viewsAnother great artist friend Bobbi posed for this

(Smoochie portraits available depending on the suitability of the face for a smoochie... some faces just are not that interesting to me)

Fashion magazines often have great models and lighting for a quick study when you only have a few minutes. This was done with a fine lead mechanical pencil.

Drawing_Conclusions.jpgDrawing conclusions120 viewsPencil and sketchbook. One of the exercises I have students do is to draw their non-dominant hand. So I did it as well because drawing is fun.

drawing_The_Apple_for_web.jpgThe Apple103 viewsSketching every day just for practice is never a waste of time. This came from a perfume ad. Instead of the perfume I inserted the apple.
Naturally I find it much more interesting this way.

IMG_0439_Pope_Francis_7_9_2013_email.jpgBlessings and Peace: Pope Francis 131 views9 x 12 graphite on watercolor paper.
A priest friend sent me a challenge to draw the pope and so this sketch was made. Luckily I found a sweet photo to draw from, and I think it shows the essence of what we hope him to be.
